Meet the band
I’m Jean, a vocalist and a huge Rage Against the Machine fan since their first album dropped in 1992. I’ve spent countless hours digging into the poetry, layers, and politically charged activism in Zack de La Rocha’s lyrics. There’s no question that Rage has had a profound impact on my life. Their unique blend of raw sonic power and the timeless message of social justice continues to resonate deeply with me. Rage’s music has a wellspring of layers to unpack, and I believe it’s just as relevant today as it was back then.
Since 2000, I’ve been involved in various bands as a vocalist and occasional percussionist, using rap as a form of poetic expression and exploring melodies and harmonies in other projects. My experiences as a social worker and cinematographer have shaped my music, allowing me to combine art, philosophy, and activism in a way that feels true to who I am. I approach every musical endeavor with my heart on my sleeve.
Performing Rage songs is an absolute honor. I truly believe their music and lyrics remain evergreen, offering a powerful voice for those silenced and oppressed in a world that needs it more than ever.
Hi, I’m Steve and I like to make suggestions.
I’ve been playing bass since 1992, starting with the classics like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. But then Rage Against the Machine came along, and it completely elevated my bass playing. Their sound took things to a whole new level, blending simplicity with powerful, groovy riffs in a way that really resonated with me.
Playing this show has been a dream come true, and I’m honored to be working with three musicians who share my passion for it. We’re all pulling together to create a professional, visually stunning show that packs a punch and pays true homage to a legendary band.
A huge thanks to the guys for helping make this dream a reality.
I suggest you keep an eye out for our next project… ABBA Unplugged.
Hi, I’m Brett. I’m a professional drummer, a passionate music lover, and someone who always appreciates Steve’s suggestions.
I discovered Rage Against the Machine later in life, and while I didn’t grow up with the nostalgia that others may have, I’m grateful I found them when I did. The maturity of their sound and the power of their lyrics really clicked with me. Rage is such an incredible band, and it’s an honor to be able to bring their music to life and share it with your ear holes.
When we put this show together, the focus was on authenticity. You’ll absolutely feel the spirit of Rage in every performance because we all believe in the message that Zack de La Rocha so powerfully advocates. But personally, I came here for Brad Wilk’s drumming. The way he wrote the parts, perfectly serving the music, creates a foundation that allows the message to truly resonate. The hip-hop influence mixed with those classic hard-hitting rock grooves makes for a truly fun style of drumming to mimic!
This project was born out of passion, and that’s something we bring to every performance.
I’m beyond grateful to be part of this amazing project. Big thanks to the guys for making it happen!
My name’s Barry, and according to Jean, I’m the band DJ. It’s wild what kind of sounds you can pull from a guitar with some creativity and experimentation.
I started playing guitar at 15, learning songs by Green Day and Sum 41. After a few years, I switched to bass and got busy in the local scene, eventually jumping back to guitar in my early 20s and diving into metal, original projects, and even a Led Zeppelin tribute band.
I wasn’t a huge Rage Against the Machine fan growing up—my first exposure was probably on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. But years later, discovering Tom Morello’s style blew my mind. I got my first Whammy pedal in 2022 and started experimenting.
That led to a rock show where we played two Rage songs live with Jean on vocals, and I was instantly hooked. When Steve pitched the idea of a full-on RATM tribute, I was all in. I’ve been deep into recreating Morello’s tones and tricks ever since—even building a custom Arm the Homeless-inspired guitar.
This project has completely reignited my passion for guitar. It’s challenged me, inspired me, and made playing fun again.
